When the cooler weather kicks in there’s nothing better than comfort food ease the realisation that summer has passed… and so that’s why this week we’re featuring our ultimate comfort food pizza special – la patata!

The spuds are sliced, seasoned and roasted in the wood fired oven until they come out teeming with flavour. They’re then put on a napoli base, with provolone, red onion and rosemary which sounds so simple but is seriously is one of the most delicious pizzas you could sample! Even better with a glass of vino or two…

It feels like demand for Jules’ homemade tiramisu has been on the rise and so this week we’ll be featuring this deliciousness all over again! Great news for the lovers of amaretto, espresso and amore!

Specials March 18-21

With the Castlemaine State Festival coming to a close for another couple of years, we’re apparently set for a bit of a cold snap with Friday and Saturday set to remind us that the change of season is underway.

As mentioned last week, we’re running two specials simultaneously – the vegetarian option is the four cheese with a Bella twist; napoli base, provolone, mozzarella, feta, gorgonzola and fresh basil!

The alternative is a garlic base with provolone, grilled zucchini, hot salami and fresh ricotta – both are absolutely delicious!

Jules’ homemade tiramisu is back this week – made with espresso, amaretto and a dash of amore!

Specials March 11-21

This week heralds the start of the Castlemaine State Festival and to celebrate we’re going to run two pizza specials over the next fortnight and we’re even going to OPEN ON SUNDAY NIGHT. Radical huh?

If you’re planning on going to the festival opening night and haven’t had time to put together a picnic, please know that Bella Fresca Pizzeria will be open for takeaway options – simply call 5472 1898 or drop in and we’ll make up your order as quick as we can so you don’t miss a moment of the action!

Pizza special #1 is the classic four cheeses with a Bella twist; napoli base, provolone, gorgonzola, mozzarella, feta and fresh basil – simple yet oh so delicious!

Bella Fresca Pizzeria returns tomorrow night and to kick off our ‘new year’ we’re starting with a vegetarian winner… it’s a pesto base with provolone, roasted red capsicum, marinated green olives, feta and fresh cherry tomato – a delicious combination!

And those with a hankering for Jules’ homemade tiramisu will not be disappointed to learn that it’s back – traditional with espresso, amaretto and the requisite dash of amore!

Delicious delicious delicious…that’s how we describe this week’s special – napoli base, provolone, feta, mozzarella and gorgonzola dolce with basil – that’s right, it’s the four cheeses with a @bellafrescapizzeria twist!

This week’s special is a summer delight! Extra virgin olive oil base, provolone, marinated figs, walnuts, prosciutto and rocket to finish…it’s delicious!

Our dessert special is the homemade sticky date pudding which is served with a caramel sauce and vanilla ice-cream – otherwise we always have our trusty gelato flavours, available in chocolate, lemon and/or raspberry.

This weeks special is one for the vegetarians…garlic base, provolone, mushrooms, brie and fresh rocket…the molten medley of garlic, mushrooms and brie is seriously divine! For the protein lovers amongst us who could not fathom a pizza without it, we’d recommend prosciutto for this one!

Special Jan 14-17

This week’s special is the puttanesca with a twist! It’s got a napoli base, provolone, white anchovies, capers, kalamata olives, basil and fresh tomato – it’s also delicious with chilli or hot/mild salami, if you need that protein fix.

For dessert this week we’ve got a new one…a homemade sticky date pudding (thanks Kitchenaid) which is served with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream…yummo! Otherwise there’s always baci, tartufo or gelato.

After last week’s heat we’re loving the idea of milder conditions (with welcome rain!) and so we’re starting our 2015 weekly specials with a vegetarian delight…extra virgin olive oil base, provolone, baby beetroot, walnuts, rocket and goat cheese…yum!

Dessert this week comprises of Jules’ ever indulgent homemade tiramisu, made with amaretto, espresso and of course the requisite dose of love! Of course, if this doesn’t take your fancy there’s always our gelato available in chocolate, lemon and blood red orange..or a baci or tartufo…the list goes on…

Xmas Special!

For this year’s penultimate pizza we’re featuring a vegetarian combination pretty much decided by our staff…napoli base, baby spinach, roasted capsicum, marinated green olives and feta.

Not only does this pizza taste delicious but features lovely greens and reds with a touch a white…oh so festive…ho ho ho!

As it’s a warmer week we’re featuring our homemade milk chocolate mousse for dessert, it’s light and refreshing and leaves behind a delightful silky chocolate flavour…mmm mm! We also have our regular baci and tartufo desserts which are an equally special way to finish dinner!
