Beautiful sunny days and cold frosty nights make perfect weather for eating out at Castlemaine’s most delicious woodfired pizzeria; and this weeks special is yummy homemade pork and fennel salsicce (sausage) with provolone, fresh apple and rocket on an extra virgin olive oil base!

Tiramisu-ers will be pleased to learn that the traditional version returns to the menu this week; it’s made with espresso, amaretto and just a dash of love!

This week’s special is a Napoli base, provolone, baby spinach, roasted capsicum, roasted eggplant and feta…hmmm it’s the perfect vegetarian pizza! Protein eaters could enjoy hot or mild salami with this one…

Special July 23-26

What will this week’s special pizza be? Drumroll…….tomato base, provolone, red onion, homemade meatballs and green peas. Jules has been labouring away rolling, rolling, rolling and now you get to enjoy the benefits!

Our dessert special this week is the ever tempting homemade tiramisu but this week with a twist – it’s a strawberry and white chocolate version and bound to impress.

And for those who have been asking, we now have blood red orange gelato back in supply which goes so well with either lemon and/or chocolate!

It’s a pizza classic this week, one of our faves…the Quattro Formaggi with a Bella Fresca Pizzeria twist…tomato base, provolone, mozzarella, italian gorgonzola and feta with basil. It’s one of those pizzas that looks quite humble but is packed with flavour!

This week’s special is yum yum yum! We brush the base with extra virgin olive oil, sprinkle provolone, marinated figs and walnuts, pop it in the oven and then layer ribbons of prosciutto and finish with fresh rocket…it’s seriously delicious!

On the dessert front we have our homemade tiramisu – made with espresso and amaretto and the perfect way to finish dinner.

Our special this week is one that we’ve not featured before, but we feel confident it’ll impress. On a garlic base, we’re going to have baby spinach, lamb, mint and rosemary (salsicce) sausage, cherry tomatoes, fresh mint and feta…inspired by the Greeks and improved by the Italians…

Our dessert this week is our yummy decadent chocolate cake which we’ll be serving European style with vanilla ice-cream and fresh strawberries!

For those of you following the World Cup, it was great to see the Aussies fighting and watch Balotelli see the Italians through in header style. Bring on the next round…forza azzurri!

Special June 11-14

The chill continues outside but at Bella Fresca Pizzeria it’s toasty and warm in front of the wood fired oven…and why wouldn’t you come in and sample this week’s special? Wood-roasted pumpkin, pine-nuts, Italian gorgonzola and fresh rocket on an olive oil base…combine it with a glass of vino and what more could you ask for?

Dessert, that’s what.

So, our homemade tiramisu is back this week – it’s traditional, that is made with espresso, amaretto and just a dash of love! Hmmm. We also have our tartufo, baci and gelato (chocolate, lemon, raspberry) or if that doesn’t entice you there’s always our chocolate calzone!

This week the World Cup kicks off (pun intended), both Australia (Saturday 8am SBS) and Italy (Sunday 8am SBS) play this weekend so expect to see some red eyes around the place…Go Socceroos and Forza Azzurri…we’re backing you both!
