Hello Castlemaine! Thanks to everyone who has sent welcomes and good wishes my way this week as the ownership of Bella changes. I’m really looking forward to meeting you all and making sure that the pizza you’ve come to enjoy so much continues!
To ease into things gently, the weekly pizza special is one of the simple classics that’s ideal for vegetarians but can also be added to, for those who want more protein.
It’s the four cheeses – napoli with provolone, mozzarella, feta, gorgonzola and fresh basil. If you’re after something extra, pretty much anything works with this…olives, salami, mushrooms…

Special 14-17 August

Buonasera pizza lovers! This week’s pizza special is one for the folk who love a bit of spice! On napoli base with provolone, roasted capsicum, jalapeños, feta and salami which can be ordered either hot or mild! The brave can add chilli … 😅💪😅 Vegetarians can swap out the salami for mushrooms and this is still a delicious pizza!
On the dessert front we’ve got our usual selection…homemade tiramisu, baci, tartufo, gelato and of course those ever popular dessert pizzas – nutella and strawberries, nutella and banana…yum yum yum!

Special 31 July-3 August

Buonasera pizza lovers! This week’s special is our pork and fennel salsicce pizza…on an extra virgin olive oil base with provolone, homemade pork and fennel salsicce (sausage), fresh apple and rocket. It’s deeelish! Unfortunately for the vegetarians, there really isn’t an alternative on this one, so best you consult the rest of the menu for other options!

On the dessert front we’ve got our homemade tiramisu, baci, tartufi, gelato and of course those dessert pizzas which seem to be flying out the door thanks to instagram coverage! 😉

Special 24-27 July

Buonasera pizza lovers! This week’s special is a great one for tackling those cold and flu blues – on a garlic base with provolone, marinated broccoli, gorgonzola and flaked almonds. We’ve blanched the broccoli in hot water and then tossed it through a mix of fresh garlic, lemon and black pepper. If the idea of a pizza without meat on it freaks you out, then we suggest some salami or chicken will work well with this one…add chilli if you have the courage! 💪

There’s a fresh batch of homemade tiramisu in the fridge along with our other usual desserts, there’s something for everyone. Baci, tartufi, gelato and of course our decadent dessert pizzas – nutella and strawberry, nutella and banana, nutella with strawberry AND banana… 😂

Special 10-13 July

Buonasera pizza lovers! It’s another cold week in tropical Castlemaine that calls for comfort food, and so this week’s special is the indulgent quattro formaggio or four cheeses pizza! On a napoli base with provolone, mozzarella, feta, gorgonzola and basil! Whilst it’s technically vegetarian, it’s one of those pizzas that most additions work with – salami, prosciutto, olives – whatever you select it’s bound to be delicious!
 
The sweeties can look forward to a fresh batch of homemade tiramisu, baci, tartufo, gelato, decadent dessert pizzas or with such a delicious cheesy pizza perhaps another glass of vino rosso.

Buonasera pizza lovers and welcome to another wintry week! This week’s special is hearty to help you stay warm and toasty…on a napoli base with provolone, baby spinach, roasted capsicum, Danish feta and salami – a flourish of chilli will make this the perfect dinner in front of the fire!

Buonasera pizza lovers and welcome to this final week in June – one third of the way through winter, end of the financial year, on the cusp of school holidays – lots happening! This week’s special is our beetroot special… baby beets with provolone, walnuts, feta and fresh rocket on an olive oil base! Those seeking some extra protein can add prosciutto or chicken – the saltiness works well with the sweetness of the beets.

Those seeking a sweet treat can look forward to homemade tiramisu, baci, tartuffi, gelato, dessert pizzas, affogato – whichever you feel like!

With this chilly weather continuing we’re featuring a weekly special with a bit of heat and spice to warm you up! On a napoli base with provolone, roasted capsicum, salami (hot or mild), jalapeños and danish feta. Vegetarians can swap out the salami for mushrooms, add a bit of chilli and this is still a delicious pizza!

For those with a sweet tooth, there’s a fresh batch of homemade tiramisu or our range of dessert pizzas with nutella, quince, strawberries and bananas. If none of these grab you we also have baci, tartufo and our selection of gelato.

Buonasera pizza lovers! This week’s special is one for those love a good dose of salt and spice…napoli base with provolone, white anchovies, capers, basil, fresh tomato and kaamata olives. Add chilli and/or hot salami for real depth of flavour! Delish! Vegetarians can swap the anchovies out for mushrooms… 😋
 
There’s a fresh batch of homemade tiramisu waiting in the fridge and along with our autumnal quince dessert pizza special it’s an embarrassment of riches!

Special 15-18 May

Buonasera pizza lovers and welcome to another week of deliciousness! This week’s special is one for the vegetarians…the potato pizza! On a napoli base with provolone, red onion, wood-roasted potatoes and rosemary! Seriously delicious! This is a hearty pizza on its own but if you are after some meat we reckon a ribbon or two of prosciutto might work pretty well. ☺️
There’s also a fresh batch of tiramisu on standby and a freshly poached batch of quinces (we sold out last week!) for our autumnal dessert pizza special which is on a sweet ricotta base with poached quinces, white chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Delish, delish, delish!
